VOCAL CLASSES

In the indian musictradition human voice is the primordial musical expression of man. On the basis of the human voice the whole spectrum of instrumental music was developed. All of the differentiated sounds of the instruments can be expressed also through human voice. This means, that, different to the tradition in the western world, a singer does not depend on fixed melodies and texts. Through a special system he is able to improvise on singing the same as a instrument can do. So he is in the position to leave the fixed struktures and follow his own creative impulses. TARANG offers primarily a classical education in vocal. On demand its also posible to get teaching in Bajans and in light classical music. THE VOCAL-TEACHER

We are glad to be able to offer you in this diszipline of learning a well experienced, competent and skilled tabla meastro and teacher in indian vocal. Sajal Karmakar is not only a teacher, he is also a excellet performer and a member in the board of examination. In addition he is a well known musician not only in India. Beside his prior education in the subject of Tabla he received a bachelor degree in vocal and also has a extensive basic musical education. In the month of May and November he teaches for e period of 4 weeks at TARANG in Nürnberg, Germany.

To get more specific information on our coursestructure and on the costs we ask you to please give us a mail if interested. As we offer our teaching only in Nürnberg in Germany there might be very less interest for students outside of Germany. We feel it makes no sence to go in details on this page.

The courses always are starting in the months of may and november teached by Sajal Karmakar. During the year you have the choise to learn from on of his students.
